Blessed with varied landforms, Romania is also home of the Carpathian Mountains, in winter a perfect wonderland for ski and winter sports lovers.
With ski slopes that attract skiers and snowboarders of all levels, Romania has a lot to offer during the winter season. There are many ski resorts, some bigger some smaller spread all across the Carpathians.
Most known are the ski slopes and ski resorts from Predeal (Clabucet) and Poiana Brasov (nearby the city of Brasov) but also those from Borsa and Vatra Dornei in the North or Baisoara, Feleacu and Stana de Vale in the Apuseni Mountains.
Poiana Brasov has the additional touristic advantage of being close to the Dracula castle in Transylvania.
