If you love nature, have a sense of adventure and respect the wild habitat, there are plenty of hiking trails for you in the Carphatians: easy to high difficulty level hiking trails, unique landscapes, glacial doms, alpin lakes and out of range flora and fauna.

You can see hiking in Romania’s Carphatians mountains as an alternative to hiking in the Alps, a more off-beat challenge. And you don’t need to be a power hiker to get to see some of the most spectacular panoramas in Romania, some trails are extremely easy to conquer, offering a rewarding view from the top!

As the waters of the Danube flow into the Black Sea, they form the largest and best preserved of Europe’s deltas, the Danube Delta. A  labyrinth of water and land is building a mosaic of river branches, channels, lakes, sand dunes and oak forests.
